AUTOPSY
Autopsy was formed in 1987. Autopsy's music was firmly rooted in death metal (being one of the earlier bands to promote themselves as exactly that), with the main difference being that they usually didn't focus on speed as many other bands of the day, but instead opted for a more mid-paced grind style, sometimes slowed down to doom speed, mixed in with occasional speed bursts.
"Death Doom" style metal, met with great critical acclaim!
